Starting building renovations from scratch
Congratulations!
You have made the important decision to renovate or extend your existing home. There are many issues to consider and here is where you will find helpful information about home building matters.
Firstly contact your local council to determine if your project requires development approval (commonly known as a DA). If DA is required, architectural plans need to be drawn up and submitted to council. Once DA is obtained, you then require a Construction Certificate which grants you permission to commence building the project.
